By the power of Greyskull!

Hmmmm, like anyone really gives a shit where my information comes from, but my many inside sources are going fuckin ecstatic.

They’re telling me that against the wishes of the Bush administration a congressional panel voted yesterday to shield journalists and most bloggers from having to reveal their confidential sources.

What they voted on is something called the “Free flow of information act”, and in the “FFOIA” it clearly states what a journalist is.

Trust me, this is gonna make sense.

And I quote, “the practice of journalism is defined as "gathering, preparing, collecting, photographing, recording, writing, editing, reporting or publishing of news or information that concerns local, national or international events or other matters of public interest for dissemination to the public."

So if I understand what my many inside sources are telling me. Any of us out there on the internet that write are protected by this bill if we advertise on our blogs.

Even if it’s from somebody like Google Ads or Blogads or Jimmy’s Meat shack.

Because most of us wither we write for shit or not, fit under the journalistic tag.

And per say we blog about something sensitive like hearing that our local congressman or mayor was caught with his diddle finger in the glory-hole.

No one could bust our chops over how we heard it. And we wouldn’t be forced to nark out or roll over on anybody.
