kickin the dog

Ok, let’s start Monday off by pissin some folks off, cause once again CBS is telling everyone they’re sorry and it won’t happen again. It seems that the Native American Indian is upset over the performance of the band OutKast due to the fact that they hit the stage during the Grammy’s sporting an American Indian style motif. And I quote. "It was the most disgusting set of racial stereotypes aimed at American Indians that I have ever seen on TV," Native American Cultural Center board member Sean Freitas said in an online statement. "It was on par with white people dancing sexually in black face, or yarmulkes ... I am shocked and outraged." Ok, first off I really don’t think it was the most disgusting set of racial stereotypes aimed at American Indians that have ever been seen on TV. Most any Saturday morning western can hold that claim to fame. And secondly, have you muthafucker’s taken a good look at Andre Benjamin the singer of OutKast? Because if there was ever a Black man with an American Indian or two hanging out in his family tree, it’s this cat. So maybe when he says’s that he was giving tribute to the Native American Indian, maybe he was. And misplaced that it may have been, that was his way of doing it. Just give it some thought is all I’m sayin.

And to farther complicate shit let’s kick this dog around a bit by examining this statement from 17 year old U.S. chart-topping Christian singer Stacie Orrico. “Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera promote "degrading" sexuality that makes them bad role models for young girls.”The reason that I don't dress trashy is that I'm trying to set an example for little girls”. "From the time they're seven or eight years old, (girls) are being taught that the only thing that makes them special and beautiful is their sexuality, and I think that's wrong." Orrico, wearing a loose, long-sleeved white shirt and jeans, said she doesn't approve of the revealing clothes sported by Spears and Aguilera. "I don't think that's sexy, I think it's degrading," the bubbly 17-year-old said. "I think that (being) a truly sexy woman comes from being confident and being classy, respectable and mature."

Ok, here’s someone else talking out the back of their ass. Because when you’re seventeen years old what the fuck do you know about anything? So here’s what gets me about this whole deal. Everybody wants to blame Brittany and Christina and all the others for not being role models. They want to lay blame on Brittany and Christina for the degradation of little girls everywhere. When you go to the malls and see ten and twelve year old girls wearing makeup and belly shirts, point the blame at MTV for making the little bitches dress like Brittany and Christina. But my question to you is where are the stinkin parents in all this? What has happened to parents taking responsibility and telling their daughters, “hell no, you’re too fuckin young to dress like a ho”. “Hey, cry all you want, but your little ass ain’t leaving the goddamn house until you take that shit off your face and throw it into the garbage”. And since the last time I looked this ain’t fuckin Taiwan, but the United States, where we have some pretty serious child labor laws in effect. This means that little Susie and Tammy aren’t cashing their pay checks and driving themselves to the Gap every weekend. Do you feel me on this? Because the only wage earner’s in the fucking house are the fuckin parents. And the only one’s that should have any say as to what little Susie and Tammy are wearing should be the parents, not little Susie and Tammy. Because if little Susie and Tammy are running around the goddamn mall at ten, twelve or sixteen years old, sporting eye shadow, buying thongs and shit at the fuckin Gap, don’t blame Brittany and Christina and MTV. Look in the mirror and place blame where it should rightly fall, on the parents of America. Thank you very much, and good night.
